Like a pearl lying out in the mud,

this is a self, a me,

my changing change of mind,

a season in oblivion.

When a face between caresses

produces no difficulties

I’m so effaced and spotted

to tell my everyday god.

But nothing’s out of desire.

This dream never falls asleep.

Like a bird of everywhere

it lands on my soul,

while one mad stupid desire

leaps the width of the chest.

I’m a human being, a man,

not a wingless bird,

or a dart on fire

shooting towards an innocent saint.

If I’m entangled in this thread,

let me wrap up myself completely

and shoot towards metamorphosis.
